Library Test Kitchen is a Harvard Library-supported Design Seminar that engages students in designing and building future library machines. The challenge of the course is to imagine new devices or furnishings that libraries might need, shaking up the usual conceptions of the traditional library. Library Test Kitchen includes the Labrary, a prototype design space where visitors can play with media, share ideas, discuss the future of the library and create and exhibit your own library machines. It has popped up in a storefront in Cambridge, MA and at SXSW Interactive 2014.
