March 2012 Update

The first prototype of the rescue repository interface has been completed and the code is available on the Berkman Center’s GitHub account. After receiving the great news that the project received further funding, Wendy, Andrea and Sebastian met to prioritize the second phase of development work. Wendy and Andrea have been demonstrating the interface to various groups including: The Library Lab Review Committee, attendees at the HILT Fair, archivists and records managers and OIS.  We continue to gather use cases for Zone 1. Next we plan to conduct usability testing on the interface and to start designing and developing the next set of enhancements.

Final Report

September 2011 Update

We hired an Archives Fellow, Alex Bisio, to talk to faculty members and do an in-depth examination of their personal archives. She has begun doing research and meeting with project partners and will begin meeting with faculty members soon. She will also help in the development of the recording tool, which is in the very earliest stages of development.
