Harvard Film Archive (HFA) in HOLLIS facilitated the addition of HFA holdings to the HOLLIS catalog and defined a process for making ongoing updates as the film collection grows. Previously, records were stored in a staff database, but not available through Harvard’s primary catalog. As a result of this effort, documentation is available that may be generalizable to other projects involving data from from desktop database applications, spreadsheets, and other types of tabular data. A major benefit of the project is the increased discoverability of the HFA collection.
